New ignition key, now what?

getting your key cut

Thanks for supporting me by purchasing an ignition key! And congratulations on entering the next level of customizing your car experience. Putting your key to use is as simple as finding a reputable locksmith in your area. Unfortunately hardware stores generally refuse to cut special keys like this, or aren’t specialists in this area. And you definitely don’t want to trust Home Depot or Lowes with this task. Cost to cut the key is usually very cheap (sub $10).

IMPORTANT NOTE: You only get one try to get this right, so I recommend having a regular boring spare key cut first, make sure that key works in your car, then use that key to cut your BuiltbyHutch key. This doesn’t cost much and you’ll be much safer, and end up with a perfectly good spare afterwards. My local locksmith did this because my OEM key was very worn and hard to reference from. Then all you have to do is enjoy! If you have any questions or issues with this process feel free to message me through this website via the contact page, at Sales@BuiltbyHutch.com, or on Instagram @BuiltbyHutch.
